What is Definisse Free Float 23.2 cm?
Surgical thread for use when tissue support is required. This thread is an absorbable synthetic medical surgical device. It is made from poly (L-lactide-co-E-caprolactone) or poly (P-dioxanone). Definisse is available in both natural white and purple, in various lengths, in a free-wire and pre-assembled version with stainless steel, with steel needles of different sizes and shapes; it may present, along its entire length, some superficial indentations. The device is packaged in bags containing Teflon pads and various accessories (polypropylene beads, collars and buttons) and a final button (of the same material as the thread) used to anchor the thread.
How to use
Indicated for use in aesthetic and plastic medicine and / or reconstructive surgery.
Definisse can cause a local inflammatory reaction associated with the formation of erythema. Do not use if package is damaged. Definisse must be used in hospital settings by qualified personnel. Be careful when handling the material to avoid any bending or flattening of the thread due to the application of surgical instruments such as forceps or needle holders. Surgical threads are single use medical devices and must be disposed of as waste.
Store in a cool and dry place, away from direct heat sources. Validity in unopened package: 60 months.
