Cingal is a sterile preparation supplied in a single-use glass syringe of 4.0 ml. Each ml of Cingal contains 22 mg/ml of cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) and 4.5 mg/ml of triamcinolone acetonide (TH) with adjunctive action, along with inactive ingredients. The hyaluronic acid in Cingal is produced through bacterial fermentation and cross-linked with a patented chemical linker. Note: the content of the syringe is sterile, the product container is not sterile.
DESCRIPTION
Cingal is a whitish, opaque, sterile, single-use suspension of a cross-linked hyaluronic acid (HA) gel with an added corticosteroid with adjunctive action, triamcinolone acetonide (TH).
Cingal is biocompatible and pyrogen-free. The cross-linked HA and TH in Cingal do not interact physically or chemically, as the micronized particles of TH are suspended within the viscoelastic HA gel and are present as a distinct solid phase.
APPLICATION
The cross-linked hyaluronic acid Cingal with added triamcinolone acetonide with adjunctive action provides a single intra-articular administration within the human joint cavities to relieve the symptoms of osteoarthritis.
INDICATIONS
Cingal is indicated as a viscosupplement or as a substitute for synovial fluid in human joints. Cingal is suitable for quickly and long-term relieving the symptoms of joint diseases such as osteoarthritis.
