SYNCHRO START
Injectable products based on a buffered isotonic saline solution of hyaluronic acid sodium salt (at 0.8% and 1.6% respectively), with notable viscoelastic properties, highly purified, with a molecular weight between 800 and 1,200 kDaltons.
Sodium hyaluronate is a fundamental component of synovial fluid, responsible for its particular viscoelastic properties.
The sodium hyaluronate of SYNCHRO is obtained through fermentation, excluding any chemical modification treatment, to ensure a completely pure product free of impurities outside the physiological context of use.
The packages include a single-use glass syringe pre-filled with 2 ml of sterile and pyrogen-free solution.
In traumatic and degenerative joint diseases there is a decrease in the amount of hyaluronic acid in situ, resulting in a reduction of synovial fluid viscosity. This deficiency leads to compromised joint function and painful symptoms. The intra-articular administration of hyaluronic acid can restore the viscoelastic properties of the synovial fluid, with a noticeable improvement in joint mobility and a subsequent reduction in pain and anti-inflammatory response.
The recommended SYNCHRO protocol involves two stages: the first consists of 2 treatments weekly, performed with SYNCHRO Start 1.6%, aiming to favorably condition the joint compartment through an impactful action, reducing symptoms of the condition and maintaining a prolonged stay in situ (due to the higher concentration). Subsequent infiltrations (3 treatments weekly), performed with SYNCHRO Basic 0.8%, will serve a maintenance and stabilization function.
SYNCHRO shows excellent tolerability, acting only locally (in the joint compartment where it is injected), excluding any systemic effects.
Clinical tests demonstrate that SYNCHRO results in a general improvement of the affected area, with a decrease in pain and swelling and a functional recovery of the joint. These benefits can last up to 24 weeks.
Usage methods
Infiltrate 2 ml of product intra-articularly once a week for 5 weeks, unless otherwise advised by the doctor and according to the patient’s condition. If additional treatment cycles are necessary, a 6-month interval is recommended. At the doctor’s discretion, considering the patient’s health conditions, multiple joints can be treated simultaneously.
Aspirate any joint effusion before proceeding with the injection of SYNCHRO Basic or SYNCHRO Start. Remove the cap from the syringe with particular care to avoid contact with the opening. Insert a suitably sized needle (from 18 to 22 G) screwing it tightly to ensure a watertight seal and prevent solution leaks. Inject the device only into the synovial space, at room temperature and under proper conditions.
Components
Sodium hyaluronate. Other components: sodium chloride, phosphate buffer, water for injectable solutions.
Warnings
Do not use after the expiration date printed on the packaging. Do not use if the packaging is open or damaged.
The area where the injection is performed must be on healthy skin.
Do not inject via vascular route.
Do not inject into the knee joint in the presence of venous or lymphatic stasis of the limb.
Do not inject outside the joint cavity, into the synovial tissue or joint capsule.
Do not administer in case of severe intra-articular effusions.
SYNCHRO Start and SYNCHRO Basic should not be injected in the presence of infections, inflammations, or skin conditions in the area to be treated.
After intra-articular injection, advise the patient to avoid all intense physical activities and to resume normal activities only after a few days.
The contents of the pre-filled syringe are sterile.
The outer surface of the syringe is not sterile.
Do not sterilize again. The device is single-use.
Once opened, the device must be used immediately and discarded after use.
Keep out of reach of children.
